A Letter From Our Owner/General Manager
Starting on June 25, masks will be optional at Shaker Rocks. This is a difficult decision to make, for sure. We’ve had conversation after conversation with many of you, kept an eye on the statistics and research, and have continually asked ourselves if we are doing enough to keep everyone healthy. For some of you, allowing masks to be optional will feel premature. For others, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for. While we can’t wait to see your smiling faces again, we want you to feel as safe and comfortable as possible. If you want to keep wearing a mask, please do – you will feel right at home with some of our staff who are continuing to wear masks. If you choose not to wear a mask, it is our expectation that you are fully vaccinated, two weeks past your second dose. For those who are not vaccinated or fully vaccinated, we strongly encourage you to continue wearing your mask and keep your distance from others.
An important note: knowing that children under 12 do not have the opportunity to get vaccinated, we are requiring that all staff directly involved with youth programming (i.e. Summer Camp, Little and Big Goats, the new Climber Development Program, Competitive Team, etc.) continue to wear a mask during these programs.
Thank you all for being so wonderful and supportive of one another, and of us, these last 16 months. The things about this pandemic that will stick with me are your kind words, uplifting gifts, smiling eyes, and now even the hugs! I’m so happy for the hugs.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call 216-848-0460 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
P.S. Effective immediately, Shaker Rocks members will be allowed to request changes to their memberships (freezes, terminations, billing changes, etc.) up to 2 days prior to the first of the month. Our previous requirement was 10 days prior to the first of the month. We hope this added flexibility will enhance your experience as a Shaker Rocks member. Our Member Change Request Form can be found here.
